Distinguished Programs Adds Expertise with Two New HiresDistinguished Programs, a national insurance program manager, today announces it has further expanded the company's program management expertise with the hiring of Maryann Prestia and Mary Genevich. Prestia will serve as vice president program manager, primary programs while Genevich will assume the role of senior underwriter, property and liability specialist.

Based in Virginia, Prestia will lead the primary lines underwriting team for Distinguished Programs' Historic Properties, Hospitality and Cyber Liability programs, as well as assisting with future development and product expansion related to the company's real estate and hospitality products. Genevich will bring property expertise to round out casualty product offerings, and assist with more in-depth product and coverage training for the company's underwriting and sales teams. She is based in New Jersey.

Prior to joining Distinguished Programs, Prestia was vice president of insurance operations for a 130 member-owned program facility catering to luxury hotels and resorts. Before that, she spent a decade at W.R. Berkley Insurance managing all casualty lines for the mid-atlantic region. She earned her bachelor's in business from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Formerly with Allianz, Genevich served for 10 years in the organization's program unit within its MidCorp Global Division. She also offers a wealth of experience in the insurance services office line of business rating and classification as well as coverage expertise. Genevich earned her bachelor's degree in retail management at Northern Illinois University and a paralegal certificate from the Minnesota Paralegal Institute.
