Glatfelter Insurance Group Founder Dies at 88

Glatfelter founder diesGlatfelter Insurance Group regrets to announce the death of founder Arthur J. Glatfelter. He died at age 88 on Feb. 14, 2013.

In a statement to associates, Glatfelter President and CEO Tony Campisi noted Mr. Glatfelter's leadership and humanitarian efforts, which secured the company's success and helped his communities.

"Art built a strong company and continued to work tirelessly to serve the needs of the insurance industry up until his retirement last year," says Campisi. He was proud of the dedicated work of his associates to help build the company and distinguish Glatfelter Insurance from the competitition."

Founded iin 1951, Glatfelter Insurance Group is now one of the largest privately owened insurance brokers in the US with more than 500 associates serving more than 30,000 clients. The company will be holding a public remembrance and celebration of Mr. Glatfelter's life at a to-be-determined date.
