Developed in partnership with Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions, Selective® Drive features a sensor device and cloud-based application to enable business owners with commercial vehicles to monitor driver and vehicle safety, and manage and maintain their fleets. When the Bosch TEP120 telematics device is installed in the car's auxiliary power outlet and connected via Bluetooth® to the driver's smartphone, the solution monitors driving speed, location, idle time, and harsh driving events involving acceleration, turning, and stopping. One of its most important features is its ability to detect distracted driving and identify both phone calls and other phone usage while the vehicle is in motion. Selective® Drive also can monitor vehicle maintenance and advise on vehicle recalls. This solution is being deployed to Selective's customers in partnership with our independent insurance agency partners and our team of Safety Management Specialists who can help policyholders develop and implement safety management solutions to monitor, maintain, and prevent losses.

"Selective® Drive is a key element of our customer-focused strategy to proactively provide our insureds, their employees, and their families with value-added services. Safety is a priority at Selective and we are excited to offer this technology to our commercial automobile accounts to help promote driver and vehicle safety," said John J. Marchioni, Selective's President and Chief Operating Officer.

Selective customers interested in Selective® Drive should contact their independent insurance agent. Selective's team of Safety Management Specialists will be directing the assessment of the suitability of commercial automobile accounts for Selective® Drive. A fleet management program is required.

"We are excited to support Selective's vision to provide extraordinary value to its customers with our Bosch technology. Selective® Drive not only promotes driving safety, but also helps Selective's customers manage their everyday operations more efficiently," said Steffen Zacharias, General Manager of Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions North America.
