The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) has announced the formation of its new Florida Chapter as part of the IICF Southeast Division’s expansion. The chapter’s first event will be a volunteer project with Harvest Pack, scheduled for Oct. 9, 2025, at the Tampa River Center.
Based in Tampa, the Florida Chapter will initially focus on local involvement with plans to expand statewide. Its charitable priorities include supporting at-risk teens and children, addressing food insecurity, and promoting disaster preparedness.
According to Founding Chapter Co-Chairs Misty Carson, Business Development Executive at OneDigital, and Maggie Potter, Shareholder at Segal McCambridge, the goal is to unite the insurance community through collective philanthropy. They noted the strong support shown by Tampa-area professionals for the first volunteer event with Harvest Pack.

Event Details
The Harvest Pack Project will be held as part of IICF’s annual Month of Giving, the insurance industry’s longest-running volunteer initiative. IICF Florida aims to engage 100 volunteers from the Greater Tampa area to pack over 20,000 meals for families facing food insecurity.

Southeast Division Growth
The Florida Chapter becomes the third in the Southeast Division, joining Georgia and Houston, which were founded in 2014 and 2016. The division has awarded more than $11.5 million in grants to nonprofit partners across the region. Collectively, the Georgia and Houston chapters have distributed over $2.3 million in grants to local nonprofits.
Sarah Conway, IICF Southeast Executive Director, highlighted the contributions of board members across the Southeast, noting their leadership and commitment to philanthropy.
