Recall Advantage PREMIER is specifically designed for Edible Products including Food Processors, Suppliers and Manufacturers – including those companies sub-contracting product production to third parties and who are concerned with contamination of their product.
PREMIER Coverage Response:
- Recall/withdrawal of insured products from marketplace:
- Following an error during the insured’s manufacture, process, design and specification, packaging, labelling or distribution
- Following introduction of an ingredient or component supplied by a third party that is contaminated or unfit for its intended purpose
- Following mislabeling including instructions for use (i.e. Allergen)
- Following Malicious Tampering
- Following an Extortion demand
- Provided products are unsafe to use or consume as intended and would lead to or has led to bodily injury, sickness of any person, animal, livestock or had led to physical property damage to third party property

PREMIER Risk Response / Requirement:
- Swift removal of unsafe product from marketplace by insured and customers
- Ability to indemnify customer specific to supplier contract. Assist in maintaining product integrity and customer contracts/relationships in order to trade on when ready to do so
PREMIER Response Required and Coverage Given:
- Ensures thorough/correct level of (upstream) recall and traceability utilizing the assistance of customers while indemnifying the customers’ cost to recall the insured’s products
- Indemnifying the customers’ loss of profit (whether the product is a finished product or forms part of their customers’ end product (i.e. an ingredient /component part as per defined policy terms)
PREMIER Endorsements Available:
- Governmental advisory/ notification of a recall provided specific to insured products advising of products that are unsafe for consumption and would result in bodily injury or death
