“Mission Hospital has long been a beacon of innovation and hope for our community, and we are proud to support its efforts in the fight against cancer,” said Diana Kiehl, Chief Administrative Officer of Alliant and head of the company’s Philanthropy Program. “Since everyone has a connection to cancer, it is a top priority for us to make every effort possible to promote innovation and care across our organization. This is central to #Alliant4Others, our call to infuse compassion and vital resources into all of the communities we call home.”
The funding will support Leonard Cancer Institute’s mission of offering:
- Personalized cancer care
- Advanced multidisciplinary treatments
- Innovative technology and diagnostics
- Dedicated nurse navigators
- Clinical trials
Integrative therapies and psychosocial programs
The fundraising efforts are a foundational component of #AlliantStandsUp, a year-long, organization-wide effort to raise awareness and funding for the fight against all types of cancers. Alliant tipped off this effort with its first-ever March Madness bracket challenge, which raised $21,000 for various cancer charities and initiatives. Alliant also actively supports fundraising and volunteer efforts by its employees with cancer-related charities and organizations nationwide and created a dedicated Employee Resource Group to provide support and services for employees dealing with cancer, either themselves or with a loved one.
