The new unit will be known as the Global Construction & Inland Marine practice group, and Aon states that its formation reflects recognised synergies in the separate business classes.
According to the re/insurance broker, the combination of the two teams significantly enhances growth opportunities, enabling the company to appropriately resource the business and capitalise on best practice.
The new, dedicated single division, which sits within the firm’s Reinsurance Solutions business, will be led by Jonathan Conway, who previously worked for Gen Re for more than two decades, and, who worked at Willis in the UK property team from 2014 to 2018, before joining Aon in 2019.
“This initiative is about bringing the best of our experts together to deliver enhanced revenue growth and service to clients in the Construction & Engineering and Inland Marine specialist sectors through a single, integrated practice group that supports account executives globally. The move highlights the continuing commitment of Aon to this important sector,” said Nick Frankland, UK Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business.
The broker adds that its new Global Construction & Inland Marine practice group will work alongside construction and engineering colleagues in Commercial Risk Solutions, and also Facultative colleagues, all of which is in line with the broker’s Aon United ethos.
