In his new role, Carlson will be based in Atlanta, Georgia, and report to Tim Kania, global head of energy & construction and US property.

He joined Aspen Insurance in 2016 and was most recently senior vice president, onshore energy & construction manager in Houston, Texas.

Before moving to Aspen Insurance, Carlson was with Liberty International Underwriters for seven years and prior to that, he was a global property underwriter with Zurich North America.

“His appointment is testament to the considerable internal talent and strength-in-depth that we have within Aspen Insurance.”
