AXA XL Insurance has established an Underwriting Innovation Office in the Americas to drive innovation in support of business initiatives, with Rose Hall, currently the Head of Construction Innovation, leading activities.

According to Joe Tocco, CEO of AXA XL Americas, “Every AXA XL colleague has long been expected to innovate, and we’ve seen some incredible creativity across our business lines. We are establishing a dedicated regional resource to assist us in making the most of our strategic partnerships, deploying successful innovation across business lines, aligning with AXA Group’s innovation plans, and more. Rose has the necessary experience and energy to take on this new role, thanks to her success in developing our Construction Ecosystem and other innovative initiatives.”
Under Ms. Hall’s leadership, the Americas Underwriting Innovation Office will collaborate across AXA XL’s business lines and support functions in the Americas, including Client Distribution, Underwriting, Risk Engineering/Consulting, and others, to support incremental to disruptive innovation initiatives. Ms. Hall will ensure that AXA XL’s Americas team makes the best use of client feedback, strategic partnerships, and technologies to help AXA XL and its customers reduce risk.

Ms. Hall reports to Donna Nadeau, Chief Underwriting Officer for the Americas, in her new position. Ms. Nadeau commented on the appointment, saying, “Rose has been instrumental in transforming a business-led initiative, such as our Construction Ecosystem, into a far-reaching service enhancement available to our clients. She will provide leadership and direction in the future development and implementation of ecosystems, technology solutions, and improved customer service initiatives in her new role. We are not innovating for the sake of innovating. We’re innovating to develop new products to address our clients’ unanswered business challenges. We’re innovating to help them reduce the rising cost of risk.”

Ms. Hall began her career with AXA XL in 2015 as a Construction Risk Engineer and most recently held the position of Vice President, Head of Construction Innovation. Prior to joining AXA XL, she was a consultant who provided litigation support and expert witness testimony on construction-related claims and legal matters. Ms. Hall worked in the construction industry for the first ten years of her career, holding positions such as design engineering, preconstruction, estimating, purchasing, project management, and risk management.
