AT&T data breach impacts 73 million

David Legassick, Head of Cyber, Tech & Life Science said:

“Our latest cyber proposition reflects the changing risk environment. Technology adoption creates new exposures, and cyber criminals are becoming more sophisticated.

In response, our Policy has been updated and now includes Impersonation Fraud/Social Engineering, which is one of the biggest exposures facing businesses today because it preys on the human weaknesses and mistakes.”

From today, both existing and new policyholders in the UK have access to a leading website security partner, GamaSec.

“Our new pre-breach partner, GamaSec, will ensure that policyholders are able to protect their business from cyber threats. Our focus is on proactive loss prevention and minimising the exposures that our policyholders face, instead of just risk mitigation.”

Avi Bartov, GamaSec founder and CEO said:

“GamaSec is a pre-breach tool designed to prevent cyber attacks. We use cutting edge virtual hacker technology to identify and eradicate dangerous malware threats and website application vulnerabilities. We are proud to be working with CNA Hardy, their cyber policyholders can access GamaSec for no additional charge. It’s easy to use and there’s no coding or software to install."

GamaSec joins a strong suite of pre-breach partner services already available including penetration testing and cyber security analysis through to cyber security education.

Extensive breach assistance and post-breach response partner services are also available including Forensic Investigators, Legal Services, Crisis Management & PR expertise and credit checking agency.

CNA Hardy is one of the few insurance carriers that provide Retroactive Cover from when the when the cyber breach first occurred, regardless of how long the hack was in the system, undiscovered. Other highlights include:

  • GDPR Actions & Fines with €20m coverage available. (Punitive fines not covered)
  • No Excess for Breach Response Provision and up to 15% of the claim amount to cover any improvements and fixes that will avoid the same cyber incident from occurring again.

These significant enhancements are now available to both new and existing Cyber policyholders in the UK. GamaSec and Wording enhancements will be rolled out to new and existing policyholders across Continental Europe and CNA Canada in the near future.
