Consumers’ Research has announced a new campaign focused on Chubb Insurance, alleging that the company is using its influence to advance political and social agendas.
According to the organization, the seven-figure campaign includes national television, digital, and billboard advertisements in Washington, D.C., New York City, and parts of New Jersey, where Chubb is headquartered. The effort is aimed at drawing public attention to what Consumers’ Research describes as Chubb’s support for political and social initiatives.
Will Hild, Executive Director of Consumers’ Research, stated that the campaign seeks to hold Chubb accountable for prioritizing political issues over customer interests. He said, “Chubb Insurance has chosen to focus on political and social agendas instead of focusing on serving its customers.”
The campaign materials highlight Chubb’s positions on climate-related policies, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and other social issues. Hild also referenced Chubb’s environmental policies, alleging that the company has reduced support for certain energy industries.
The campaign directs audiences to a website, WokeChubb.com, for additional information and includes a national television ad available for viewing online.
Consumers’ Research noted that this campaign is part of its broader Consumer First initiative, launched in 2021 to examine companies it believes prioritize political agendas over consumer interests.
