Convelo Insurance Group, a national managing general underwriter specializing in unique insurance products for niche insurance segments and a division of Signers National, announces the hiring of Andrew “Andy” Borst as the organization’s new president effective immediately.
As president of Convelo, Borst will lead the organization forward as it continues to grow across a range of niche segments. Borst joins Convelo after most recently working as president of E&S and international programs. Over his more than 25 years in the industry, Borst served as an executive officer at Argo Group, leading their specialty programs business in the U.S., held several senior roles at OneBeacon Insurance Group and began his career at Travelers Insurance Company.
“Andy brings a wealth of experience and success expanding books of business in the insurance industry, and we are pleased to welcome him to the Convelo team,” said Josh Lamberg, founder of Signers National. “Our business is growing and with Andy on board, we are confident this trend will continue.”

Convelo’s former president Dan Shea will now move into the newly established executive vice president and chief marketing officer role. Shea has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry.
