DOXA Insurance Holdings, a leading specialty managing general agency (MGA) and program administrator, has announced the strategic addition of Sean Curry as Executive Vice President of its Brokerage vertical. This key leadership hire marks a pivotal step in DOXA’s ongoing expansion into high-demand markets with complex and hard-to-place risks.

Driving Growth in Brokerage with Proven Leadership

Curry joins DOXA with nearly two decades of experience in insurance brokerage, bringing a deep reservoir of industry insight and operational expertise. He will spearhead the enhancement of DOXA’s brokerage capabilities, focusing on accelerating the company’s ability to deliver rapid, reliable solutions to partners navigating challenging risk scenarios.

Prior to joining DOXA, Curry held the position of Executive/Head of Brokerage & Flood Programs at Kraft Lake Insurance Agency, a wholly owned subsidiary of Farmers Insurance. During his seven-year tenure, he helped scale the agency to nearly $1.2 billion in written premiums, while also overseeing strategic partnerships, property and casualty (P&C) brokerage placement teams, and flood program development.

A Commitment to Excellence in the Brokerage Space

“At DOXA, we aim to redefine excellence across all five of our specialty verticals, including brokerage,” said Matt Bishop, Head of Operating Entities and Business Verticals for DOXA. “Our success hinges on leadership that can translate deep industry knowledge into scalable service strategies. Sean brings precisely that level of expertise and vision to DOXA’s brokerage team.”

Curry’s previous experience also includes a 12-year tenure at Nationwide Brokerage Solutions (NBS), a brokerage operation owned by Nationwide Insurance, where he advanced through multiple roles of increasing responsibility.

Elevating DOXA as the Go-To Partner for Difficult Risks

Speaking on his new role, Curry emphasized the unique value proposition DOXA brings to the brokerage space: “The brokerage sector thrives on relationships, technical insight, and creative risk solutions. DOXA’s reputation for providing comprehensive support and resources makes it a natural fit for the Brokerage vertical’s next phase of growth,” he said. “I’m excited to help build the most knowledgeable, experienced, and responsive team in the market for hard-to-place risks.”

Continued Momentum in 2025

Curry is among several high-profile additions to DOXA’s leadership team this year, reflecting the company’s continued focus on long-term growth and strategic talent investment. His appointment supports DOXA’s mission to lead with specialization and adaptability in an evolving insurance environment.
