The new members of the Executive Committee include:
Neil Mayer has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for Guy Carpenter. In this role, he provides oversight of the central operations, client support services, marketing & communications and data strategy teams and leads the firm’s Operating Committee. Previously, Mr. Mayer held the position of Chief Operating Officer, North America, where he collaborated with the firm’s North American leadership to translate strategy into action to deliver profitable growth for the region. Prior to the North American leadership role, he was the Global Head of Strategy & Transformation, where he worked closely with the Executive Committee to define and implement the strategic direction of the company. Previously Mr. Mayer was a senior member of the Marsh & McLennan M&A / Corporate Development team.
Lara Mowery has been appointed to the newly created position of Global Head of Distribution, overseeing Guy Carpenter’s placement and distribution strategy. She will set market-leading standards for client/broker/reinsurer interactions, and see through all Guy Carpenter systems and tools that drive interaction with the markets. Most recently, Ms. Mowery served as the head of the company’s Global Property Center of Excellence, where she led thought leadership and tactical execution of its property initiatives across the globe.
John Crichton, the Chief Information Officer of Guy Carpenter, also joins the firm’s Executive Committee. He is responsible for leading Guy Carpenter’s global technology organization and has been instrumental in re-organizing and enhancing the technology function. Mr. Crichton has also been responsible for the development of a target architecture and application roadmaps to support the delivery of world-class client and colleague experiences, analytics & advisory and distribution.
