The InsurTech Association (ITA), a nonprofit trade group advancing innovation in the insurtech sector, has reported significant growth since its launch in March 2023. In just 18 months, ITA has surpassed 125 members, with more than 80% representing corporate entities within the insurtech ecosystem. The association has also announced a final opportunity for new members to join as Founding Sponsors before the November 1, 2024, deadline.
Rapid Expansion in a Short Time
Founded by Josh Hollander, CEO of Horton International North America, and Bob Sargent, Founder and CEO of eSpecialty Insurance, ITA was created to help build a resilient and sustainable insurtech industry. Hollander highlighted the strong interest from corporate members, noting the association’s role in providing a unifying platform for collaboration and industry advancement. Sargent emphasized ITA’s ability to support long-term industry sustainability through its diverse and growing membership.
Programs and Industry Engagement
ITA has built its reputation through industry-leading webinars, comprehensive member support, and networking opportunities at key events such as InsureTech Connect, Insurtech Insights, Insurtech New York, and Insurtech Hartford. These initiatives aim to help members navigate the complex, regulated insurance environment and encourage innovation.
The association has also brought on Direct Connection Advertising & Marketing as its managing agency to enhance marketing, events, and overall operations. Sargent stated that the partnership is intended to further strengthen ITA’s community-building efforts.
Upcoming Event and Founding Sponsor Recognition
ITA will participate in the InsureTech Connect tradeshow in Las Vegas from October 15 to 17, where it will host a networking cocktail party to celebrate its growth and recognize the early support of its Founding Sponsors.
