The Network of Vertafore Users (NetVU) has announced a new partnership with the International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP) to provide a leadership development certification program for NetVU members.
“It was important to NetVU that we deliver a best-in-class leadership development program for our members,” says Jon Gorman, NetVU executive director. “IAIP’s leadership development certification program is extremely comprehensive, has a proven track record of success, and is ideally positioned to allow our member organizations to invest in their future leaders.”
The Certified Leadership Program is a 13-week program, totaling 54 hours, with four specific modules on leadership. The four modules featuring 13 specific topics are strategic management; business essentials such as critical thinking, effective negotiation, and financial knowledge; business mentoring and coaching; and motivating others by understanding your leadership style.
NetVU is offering two cohorts during 2023, the first of which is under way and led by Ben Lynds, NcSA, vice president of information systems with F.A. Peabody Co., Houlton, Maine. Each cohort features 10 attendees and one cohort leader who guides the attendees through the program with weekly meetings. The second cohort will begin in October and is already more than 50% booked.
“I am looking forward to steering this group of individuals and joining them throughout the learning journey,” says Lynds. “Achieving the Certified Leadership Program designation will be an excellent testament to hard work and dedication.”
The cost to NetVU members is $250, which covers all study materials, weekly cohort calls and certification application fees.
