“Our focus on nonprofits and human service organizations for so many years has allowed us to become experts in protecting those very special organizations that positively affect people’s lives,” Lamberg said. “Convelo Insurance Group will create and package more cost-effective and insightful coverage by offering market-driven solutions to producers all over the U.S. who are passionate about delivering extraordinary risk management solutions to their nonprofit clients.”

Steven Sims has been appointed president of Convelo Insurance Group. Sims is an experienced insurance executive who has devoted his entire career to developing, launching and managing specialty insurance programs for nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, government entities and the food industry. Sims managed specialty insurance programs at Marsh and Willis Insurance Services and most recently served as president of WRM America Indemnity Insurance Company—a specialty insurance provider for educational institutions, nonprofit organizations and public entities.

“We are very excited to create and roll out a comprehensive, no-gap insurance program for nonprofit and social service organizations that brokers and agents throughout the country can efficiently access and deliver with confidence to their clients,” Sims said. “We will take a lot of the legwork out of the buying process for brokers and agents and put together a very cost-competitive package of insurance coverages that specifically addresses the unique risks faced by nonprofits. We know that both producers and their clients appreciate working with one insurance provider--and having more time to do what they do best…caring for others.”

Convelo Insurance Group will introduce a complete package of P&C nonprofit coverages in the coming weeks. Convelo’s insurance carriers have an A.M. Best Rating of “A” (excellent) and a Financial Size Category of X.

“Our package includes workers compensation, property, general liability, volunteer, professional liability, commercial auto, directors & officers, sexual abuse and molestation, employment practices liability, umbrella liability, and other optional coverages a nonprofit organization may need,” Sims said.

In 2020, Convelo Insurance Group will be licensed to do business with nonprofit organizations in 33 states including Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, New Jersey, New York, Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
