Google Analytics Set Up

Now is the time to create a new Google Analytics 4 property and double-check your setup. If you haven't already started collecting data in your Google Analytics 4 property, you should do so immediately.  This will enable you to gather the historical insights you need to measure your results over time when Universal Analytics stops processing hits. If you're already collecting the data you need in Google Analytics 4, make sure the rest of your setup is complete.

Until July 1, 2023, you can continue to use and collect new data in your Universal Analytics properties. After July 1, 2023, you will be able to access previously processed data in Universal Analytics for at least six months. As data is critically important to you, Google strongly advises that businesses export their historical reports during this time.

In the coming months, Google will provide a future date for when Universal Analytics will be retired. Businesses will no longer be able to see your Universal Analytics reports in the Analytics interface or access your Universal Analytics data via the API after this date.
