WTW Included in 2022 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index

WTW announced that it is one of 418 companies from 45 countries and regions to join the 2022 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), a modified market capitalization-weighted index designed to track the performance of public companies committed to gender-data transparency. This reference index assesses gender equality in five areas: female leadership and talent pipeline, equal pay and gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and pro-women brand.

For the first time, the 2022 GEI expands globally to represent 45 countries and regions, including firms headquartered in Colombia and Uruguay. Member companies come from a variety of industries, including finance, technology, and utilities, which have the highest company representation in the index.

“ At WTW, we’re committed to an inclusive work environment supporting our female talent. Achieving gender parity in leadership will continue to be one of our priorities," said Carl Hells, CEO WTW.

“We’re honored to be named in the 2022 Bloomberg Gender Equality Index for the fourth year in a row,” said Carl Hess, CEO, WTW. “At WTW, we’re committed to an inclusive work environment supporting our female talent. Achieving gender parity in leadership will continue to be one of our priorities.”

“We are proud to recognize WTW and the other 417 companies included in the 2022 GEI for their commitment to transparency and setting a new standard in gender-related data reporting,” said Peter T. Grauer, Chairman of Bloomberg and Founding Chairman of the U.S. 30% Club. “Even though the threshold for inclusion in the GEI has risen, the member list continues to grow. This is a testament that more companies are working to improve upon their gender-related metrics, fostering more opportunity for diverse talent to succeed in their organizations.”

WTW submitted a social survey developed by Bloomberg in collaboration with subject matter experts from around the world. Those included in this year's index achieved or adopted best-in-class statistics and policies and scored at or above a global threshold established by Bloomberg to reflect disclosure.

Both the survey and the GEI are completely free of charge. Bloomberg gathered this information solely for research purposes. The index does not have a ranking. While all public companies are encouraged to disclose supplemental gender data for their investment profile on the Bloomberg Terminal®, only those with a market capitalization of USD 1 billion are eligible for inclusion in the Index. For more information on the GEI and how to submit data for next year's index, go to Bloomberg.com's GEI page. Bloomberg clients can access the GEI by going to BGEI Index DES.
