Guy Carpenter Selected Best Overall” Among Reinsurance Brokers In 2007 Flaspohler Survey of Ceding Company
Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC, the leading global risk and reinsurance specialist and part of the Marsh & McLennan Companies, announced that it had been selected “Best Overall” among all reinsurance brokers in the 2007 Flaspöhler Survey of Ceding Companies in North America.
The Flaspöhler Research Group is an independent research firm that specializes in the insurance and reinsurance industry. The cedant survey was initiated in 1993 as a biennial study of property/casualty ceding companies’ perceptions of non-life reinsurers and other important reinsurance topics, including the service provided by brokers. The 2007 survey included interviews of a record 446 participants, compared to 323 in 2005. More than 300 unique cedant organizations were part of the research.
When asked “which reinsurance broker is best, overall,” 35.2% of participants named Guy Carpenter—85% higher than the 19% of respondents who named the nearest competitor in the survey.
