Devine, who previously was chief operating officer of Aon Risk Services Americas and head of global strategy for Aon, joined the company in 2005. Prior to that, Devine headed McKinsey & Co.’s North American Insurance Practice and North American Insurance Operations and Technology efforts.
According to Aon President and CEO Gregory C. Case, Devine’s experience as “kind of the ultimate insurance insider,” along with his focus (since working at Aon) on organic growth will be a “very powerful combination” for Aon.
Aon Appoints Devine to CEO Position of Reinsurance Unit
Chicago, Illinois-based Aon Corp. announced the promotion of Ted T. Devine to chief executive officer of Aon Re Global, the company’s reinsurance intermediary unit. Devine succeeds Michael D. O’Halleran, formerly Aon Re Global’s chairman and CEO, who has been named executive chairman of the unit.
