The Alliant Insurance Foundation Fellows internship program celebrates its first graduate, Delaisha Davis of Southern University and A&M College. The first-of-its-kind program, launched in 2022, offers undergraduate students with diverse backgrounds and life experiences the opportunity for an in-depth career experience over three summers. “The Alliant Insurance Foundation Fellowship program provides us with the unique opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the future of our industry,” said Lilian Vanvieldt, Alliant Insurance Foundation Board Chair. “It’s an honor to work with and support these inspiring future leaders as they blaze a path for a long and thriving career in the insurance industry.” Davis is a business management graduate who joined the program in 2022 to further her knowledge of the insurance industry. Her final summer in the program included hands-on experience in Alliant Insurance Services’ New York office, as well as a trip to London sponsored by the BMS Group to tour the Lloyd’s of London headquarters and learn about the wholesale insurance market. After completing the program, Davis accepted an offer to work for the Alliant Americas division of Alliant Insurance Services in Atlanta. Alliant Insurance Foundation Fellows are provided with the opportunity to explore various sectors of the insurance industry through weekly rotations with Alliant departments, along with one-on-one curated mentorship, culminating with a presentation to C-suite executives and other Alliant leaders. Through its carefully curated curriculum, the program enables Fellows to become familiar with specialized insurance industry expertise.
