Australia's Rent.com.au Partners with Chubb to Offer Rent Contents Insurance Up-and-coming real estate website Rent.com.au has signed an agreement with global insurer Chubb to bring home contents insurance to renters.

The product, called Renter Cover, will be available in first-quarter 2018.

The company's CEO Greg Bader says its own research discovered that while 30 per cent of Australians rent, only 45% of renters have their contents insured.

He added that in the younger rental market aged 18-39, only 73 per cent have home contents insurance.

The company's CEO Greg Bader says that Renter Cover combine's the website's knowledge of the rental market with Chubb's insurance expertise.
