Business Risk Partners, a specialty lines managing general underwriting agency, has launched a new Sexual Misconduct and Molestation Liability program. The monoline coverage responds to growing demand for dedicated protection backed by domestic carrier capacity. The company states that the program addresses increasing exposure and coverage gaps that many organizations face.

Sexual misconduct allegations continue to present safety, reputational, and financial risks for organizations across a wide range of industries. Many insureds rely on General Liability policies for protection. However, those policies often sublimit, restrict, or exclude Sexual Misconduct and Molestation coverage. As a result, insureds may face significant exposure when claims arise. BRP developed its new program to address these gaps with a purpose-built solution supported by specialized underwriting and claims expertise.

“We’ve written SML for more than a decade and have seen the demand for monoline abuse coverage accelerate across the market,” said Lisa Doherty, president and chief executive officer at Business Risk Partners. “Brokers want solutions that are disciplined, responsive, and easy to work with. This program gives our wholesale partners a strong, domestic option that delivers speed and stability, adding a competitive offering as these risks continue to grow more complex.”

The program offers up to $5 million in capacity. Coverage is available on both a primary and excess basis. Eligible classes include healthcare, education, and religious organizations. In addition, the program features streamlined quoting with same-day turnaround and operates through a wholesale-based distribution model. BRP also includes enhanced sublimits, including assault and battery.

The program is backed by carrier capacity rated A- by AM Best. According to BRP, this structure provides brokers with a reliable domestic alternative in a market where overseas placements often dominate. The policy also includes complimentary prevention and crisis response services through ePlace Solutions. These services provide unlimited access to online safety training and best-practice resources. They also include additional crisis response support that triggers upon a reported circumstance, with no retention.

Founded in 2000, Business Risk Partners is a specialty insurance underwriter and program manager that provides risk solutions to businesses nationwide. The company focuses on professional, management, and cyber liability. BRP states that it combines industry expertise with underwriting capabilities and partners with leading carriers to deliver coverage designed to address the challenges businesses face today.
