The Board of Directors of the A.I.M. Mutual Insurance Companies named John A. Myers as Chairman of the A.I.M. Mutual Insurance Companies at its meeting December 10. The Board also announced that Michael E. Standing has been elected President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Myers as CEO.Concurrent with these changes, the Board elected Paul M. Kehoe Vice President and Treasurer. Previously, Kehoe was Controller for A.I.M. Mutual; he joined the Companies in 2005. As Vice President and Treasurer, he succeeds Gregory Shah, who had held the positions since 1994. Shah has been named Advisor and Corporate Secretary, reporting to the Board of Directors.
All appointments are effective January 1, 2015.
The executive management transition has been under way since 2012 when Michael Standing joined the Companies as Vice President. He was elected President of the Companies in June, 2013. Previously, Standing was with Guy Carpenter & Company, where he was Senior Vice President - Account Executive and member of the Workers Compensation Specialty Practice. He has more than 25 years of property and casualty experience.
The A.I.M. Mutual Insurance Companies provide workers compensation coverage for 17,000 employers throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut. 2014 marked the Companies' 25th year as a workers compensation insurance carrier in the region.
