New Hires at Aon; EPIC Adds to Its Staff
The Aon Risk Services Unit of Aon Corp hired three former executives with Marsh Inc.’s aviation practice. Peter Schmitz, Robert Beyers and Tracy Toro have been named managing directors and will be based in Aon’s offices in New York.
Mr. Schmitz will lead Aon’s network of U.S. offices. The 22-year market veteran previously was chief operating officer of Marsh’s aviation practice. Mr. Beyers will be responsible for the placement strategy and retention analysis, among other things, for large aviation accounts that are placed in the worldwide insurance market. He also will be responsible for new business production. Ms. Toro also will lead Aon’s network of U.S. offices and specialize in developing the brokerage’s general aviation product line. The 15-year market veteran had similar responsibilities at Marsh.
In other hiring news, recently formed San Mateo, CA-basedinsurance brokerage Edgewood Partners Insurance Center hired John Greenfield, formerly of ABD Insurance & Financial Services, as VP specializing in property/casualty insurance. The hiring of Mr. Greenfield follows Wednesday’s announcement that EPIC hired a team of experts from UnionBanc Insurance Services Inc.’s energy and construction division to form a new wind and energy group. Mike M. McMullen and Penny L. Crowder have been named vps at EPIC, while Cindy K. Henry has been named account executive.
