Ohio Agent Association Endorses Work At Home Vintage Experts (WAHVE)

Ohio Agent Association Endorses Work At Home Vintage Experts (WAHVE)The Ohio Insurance Agents Association Inc. (OIA), the largest professional independent insurance agents' association in the state, has endorsed Work At Home Vintage Experts (WAHVE) to provide contract staffing services to its members.

The endorsement means OIA members can access WAHVE's unique staffing services on a preferred basis. WAHVE matches insurance firms needing full- or part-time help with proven professionals who have 25-plus years in the insurance industry and work remotely from their own home offices. "We're always interested in learning about new talent solutions, because we know employee hiring and retention is an issue for our members, just as it is for insurance firms across the country," says Jeff S. Smith, JD, who will assume the OIA CEO position in January 2017 after serving as the organization's director of government affairs and general counsel. He notes that the endorsement was not awarded lightly. As he explains, "Our own reputation and member trust is on the line, so we didn't endorse WAHVE until we had completed thorough due diligence, which included reviewing the agency agreement and talking to other state associations and agencies who have experience with WAHVE. What we found was consistent, enthusiastic performance reports. There's a reason they're a market leader in remote work solutions."

Bill Hunt, executive vice president and chief sales officer of WAHVE, says, "We successfully paired insurance firms across the nation with insurance professionals who want to explore a new way of working in an industry they love. It's been the proverbial 'win-win,' and we're excited to have additional opportunity to work with Ohio insurance businesses as a preferred provider." Hunt emphasizes that WAHVE's in-depth screening and matching process has been key to finding the right fit for each firm's needs, including customer service, underwriting and other vital insurance functions for both commercial and personal lines, as well as employee benefits.

WAHVE now has well over 300 vintage professionals working remotely for 260 insurance firms throughout the country, including agencies, carriers and MGAs. Ohio is the 23rd state insurance agent association to endorse WAHVE's services for its members.
