The program provides the ability to include employee drivers on a workers compensation policy, and the owner-operators on an occupational accident and contingent liability policy with the same insurance company. This program will offer coverage nationally through QBE's "A" rated* insurance companies on an admitted and non-admitted basis.

"QBE's partnership with High Point and Midwestern is part of our strategy to work with established and experienced industry leaders in the management of workers' compensation and occupational accident programs. We are pleased to bring innovative solutions to this sector and expand our business," said Glenn Skrynecki, Senior Vice President, P&C Programs, QBE.

"Our relationship with QBE provides us with an opportunity to differentiate ourselves in the market. We have noticed this gap in the trucking market for some time now and are excited to provide insurance solutions to the motor truck carrier that provides a solution for all 'drivers' that they use to run their businesses," said Marc Risen, President, Midwestern Insurance Alliance.

"Typically it is preferable if worker's compensation and occupational accident insurance are provided as part of a comprehensive program through one insurer. Along with our own expertise in both workers compensation and occupational accident, partnering with a carrier that understands the importance of the combined offering, and the protection it enables us to offer our clients, allows us to add substantial value to both motor carriers and owner operators," said David King, President, High Point Underwriters.

Louisville, Kentucky-based Midwestern Insurance Alliance is a national workers' compensation program administrator focused on the trucking market for over 30 years, while Morris Plains, New Jersey-based High Point Underwriters is a prominent occupational accident program administrator with a wealth of valuable expertise in this specialized insurance field.
