Venture Programs Welcomes Janet Wright as Risk Manager and Jeanne Starr as SUITELIFE Regional Underwriter

Wright will be responsible for further enhancing and growing Venture's risk management division, securing the company's position as a leading program administrator. She will work in partnership with Venture's program teams, carriers, third party administrators, vendors, brokers and clients to deliver value-added risk services to private and publicly traded companies.

"She's overseen and managed expansive risk management operations at smaller and larger publicly traded companies throughout her career and has demonstrated a natural ability to lead. In her previous role, Wright served as senior risk manager for BlueLine Rental, where she secured substantial savings for the company and implemented progressive process improvements. Wright also brings years of experience having served as an underwriter at industry giants Nationwide Insurance and Delta Dental, working with an array of complex risk management offerings. Wright is a member of the Risk Management Society (RIMS) and holds various environmental health and safety certifications.

Joining Venture as a regional underwriter, Starr will write profitable new business and renewals while marketing and selling the company’s SUITELIFE products and services. SUITELIFE is an alllines insurance and risk program for upscale hotels and resort properties administered by Venture Programs.

Starr will be focused on the South Central and Southeast territories, maintaining relations with agents and carrier partners. Most recently, Starr served as a middle market commercial insurance sales underwriter at CNA Insurance, where she targeted new business accounts with revenues in excess of $20 million, in addition to managing an existing renewal book throughout Florida. Prior to her time there, she was a middle market underwriter, claims supervisor and adjuster for the Hartford Insurance Group.

Wright attended Shippensburg University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in English. Starr earned her bachelor’s degree in speech communications from the University of Georgia.
